So just a small update…or maybe a big one. I changed the domain name (if you hadn’t already noticed). I didn’t reaaallly want to, but honestly I’ve been trying to come up with a creative name for ages now. Actually, years. I’ve never really thought of anything I really liked, so I figured I’d just use my actual name for now. I’m not planning on doing too much to the site because I still want to keep this an art blog, but the real reason I did change the name is because I really need something a bit more professional to put on a business card when I graduate this year. I would prefer using a moniker or something, because the truth is people judge people based on names alone, and I’d like people to judge my work first before they judge me. I don’t know if that sounds stupid, but it’s like people putting birth-dates on resumes, or curating your photos on social media….or maybe I’m just not used to using my actual name just yet. I don’t know. Either way, I think I might have outgrown ephereal.com. But don’t worry, it’ll still redirect here until the domain expires (or should I keep it for old times sake? I haven’t decided yet). As a sidenote, I can’t believe how easy it was to change the domain urls on WordPress. Gosh damn WordPress is amazing. Can’t say the same for VentraIP’s “VIPControl” however. It logged me out whilst I was updating my website details and I haven’t been able to log on since (403 error, W.T.F.). And this isn’t the first time it’s happened either. I guess you actually do get what you pay for when it comes to web hosting in Australia.
